Location: We are located in Courtland Ontario, on Highway #3 which goes from Fort Erie (Buffalo, New York, a 2 hour drive) to Windsor (Detroit, Michigan, a 2 ½ hour drive). Toronto, Ontario is a 1-½ hour drive and London is ¾ hour away. We have over 2500 vehicles drive past our store.

History of Our Bakery:
The bakery was first built in 1939. We bought it in 1977 . Since then, we took the small bread bakery and made it into what it is now, an exquisite full line EUROPEAN STYLE BAKERY.

The Bakery Today:
After a fire in 1987, we rebuilt the bakery to more then twice the size of the old one. We built well above the building codes using large concrete blocks for most of the outside and inside walls.
The floor plan of the store was professionally designed by the Wescho Company from Germany, using European style showcases.
In the pastry department we have
4 Hobart Mixers
1 small Kitchen Aid mixer
1 reversible sheeter
1 pizza sheeter for pie shells and cookies
1 Douglas Pan washer
2 large double sinks
2 4'x 8' movable work tables
work benches along 3 walls with storage above and below.
Due to the size of the production area, we have plenty of room to expand into catering or wholesaling to some larger accounts.
In the oven room we have
2 revolving ovens, the largest with a capacity of 200 loaves of bread (utilizes steam)
4 rack proofing cabinet (400 loaf capacity)
2 large mixers (1 140 quart Hobart, 2 bag flour capacity)
1 donut fryer
1 large sink
1 bun divider and rounder
2 4'x8' movable work tables
15 horse power York Shipley boiler.

In 1990 International Multifoods from Minneapolis Minnesota, chose our bakery to represent their Canadian Operations in their annual report to their shareholders. The year after they came back again for more pictures.

The house is a spacious 4 bedroom Century Home with a double garage.

When we bought the bakery in 1977, the previous owner had sales of $75,000.00. Now our annual sales are well over $700,000.00 . Our 2 children have grown and moved on and we are also ready for a change.
